About AndroidWargames

AndroidWargames is an independent game studio dedicated to bringing classic turn-based strategy gaming to Android devices. Our games are built for fans of the genre — if you grew up playing hex-and-counter wargames either digitally or as tabletop versions, these games are made for you.

Our games

We currently develop three titles, all powered by a shared hex-based strategy engine:

• Wargames of 1939 — Our flagship title, set during the 1939 Polish Campaign of World War II. REMASTERED version is available now on Google Play!
• Populus Romanus — Take command of Roman legions across the ancient Mediterranean. Original version is no longer available, but REMASTERED version coming soon in H1/2026!
• Populus Romanus 2: Britannia — Lead the Roman conquest of the British Isles. Original version is no longer available, REMASTERED version coming soon in H1/2026!

Design philosophy

We believe turn-based strategy games should reward careful thought over fast reflexes. Our games focus on:

• Historical authenticity — scenarios based on real campaigns and battles
• Strategic depth — fog of war, supply lines, terrain effects, and combined-arms tactics
• Accessibility — deep gameplay that is easy to pick up but difficult to master
• Fair play — no pay-to-win mechanics, no advertisements, no data collection
